Having a Great Hair Day at B2V/Borrelli-Vo Salon

I arrive at the salon, slip into a silky robe and meet my "makeover man", Steve Lococo, stylist extraordinaire and co-owner of B2V/Borrelli-Vo Salon.
We discuss options. I defer to the man with one mandate: keep it long. He says he loves working with long hair, "it's a challenge."I'm thrilled. His talented hands--seasoned by over two decades in the business--snip and trim here and there to smooth rough edges. Steve performs like an artist, meticulously carefully considering hues and colors: a dab of red highlights, deliciously deep brown color followed by moisturizing, silkening mask that makes my hair bounce and flow luxuriously.

It's winner! Love my new look, hair shines, face glows, I love being a girl. Look at Steve beam.
FYI: Steve concentrates on color and cutting, he likes to combine them for the perfect make-over or just updated do.
B2V's the hippest hair spot in this town of many. The chic, handsome, hardwood floor-modern-style shop buzzes with activity and talented stylists. Celebs come and go, always looking spiffy. Nail care and facials are available. So is coffee, tea or other beverages.

A little Backgrounder on Steve Lococo

Lococo's salons attract big name celebs, but he's committed to giving all clients the tools to look their glamorous best, with easy-care styles they can keep up at home. To that end, he has instituted monthly sell-out blow-drying classes at Borrelli Beverly Hills. Clients are encouraged to bring their own brushes and products for evaluation. The classes are $25; clients receive a shampoo, blow-dry instruction and tips, and $15 worth of Borrelli product.

Makeovers are nothing new to Steve Lococo. He has appeared numerous times on ABC’s Extreme Makeover, Dr. 90210, How Do I Look?, E!, TV Guide Channel, USA Network’s BEFORE & AFTER’noon Movies, Lifetime’s Head2Toe, and KTLA Morning News. His work has
been seen on Dr. Phil, The Tyra Banks Show, and Good Day L.A, and in countless print publications.

He oversees more than 30 stylists, aestheticians, and manicurists in a three-salon “empire” within a two-mile radius (Borrelli Beverly Hills, an elegant, sophisticated space on Burton Way in Beverly Hills, California, and B2V/Borrelli Vo, two side-by-side cottages on North Doheny Drive in West Hollywood). Lococo works out of Borrelli Beverly Hills Wednesdays and Fridays, and out of B2V/Borrelli-Vo Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

An integral part of the hairstyling industry, Steve serves on the Board of the prestigious Inter-Coiffure organization and holding memberships in the Salon Association and the National Cosmetologist Association. A Southern California native, he currently sits on the Board of Directors of the West Hollywood and Beverly Hills Chambers of Commerce.

Most recently, in tandem with dermatologist-to-the-stars, Dr. Jessica Wu, the two have formed “Beauty Shares” which brings hands-on hair and skin-care tips to disadvantaged teens in greater Los Angeles.
